NEGATIVE IMAGE was a short lived, but intense band hailing from Lake Arrowhead in southern California. Born in 1988 they carried out a mix of post-punk, darkwave and synthpop. In their own words: ‘This wasn’t just music. It was escape. It was identity. It was the soundtrack to eyeliner, empty streets, and something unspoken’.
They put out a self-produced cassette-only release (impossible to find these days) called CONFUSION, two songs from it also made it to a 12” test pressing (even more impossible to find!). CONFUSION featured six songs in 1989 and now thirty six years later we bring it back from oblivion, adding two more songs from the same recordings to round it up to a full album and on our beloved vinyl format!
We are pleased to bring you CONFUSION as a limited, hand numbered vinyl edition split in two colours; 100 copies in smoked translucent red and 150 in standard black, housed in a matt finish sleeve with a double sided insert and download code.
The digital download is available from our Bandcamp site here: www.deadwaxrecords.bandcamp.com
