The 1985 7” single ICE / WEEKAHEAD by SEEING RED has been a staple in the wantlist of many, many collectors around the globe since it gained certain notoriety due to some forum / blog apperances and comments throughout the last 20 years of the internet. Being a self-released record and coming out of Guernsey in the Channel Islands, it has ALWAYS been an extremely rare and sought after 7”, fetching insane prices when seen for sale, if ever.
Well, we already put ICE on our Distant Waves II compilation back in 2017 as we loved the song since long long ago and thought that presenting it to our beloved followers was a great idea, but as our DW II comp has become a sought after item itself with the passing of years, it was definitely a much better idea to finally re-release this SEEING RED single separately and give you all an opportunity to access this awesome piece of minimalistic synthpop history again.
We have adapted and greatly expanded the simple but beautiful artwork of the single, adding nice band pics and the lyrics for both songs. And all this upgraded to the magnificent 12” format, allowing to enjoy this gem in a well deserved full glory both visually and sonically!!
We bring you ICE / WEEKAHEAD as a limited, hand numbered edition split in two vinyl colours; 100 copies in translucent red and 200 in standard black, housed in a matt finish sleeve with a double sided insert and download code.
