Movement was a ‘mysterious’ duo from Münster, Germany, that put out a sole 12” in 1988 containing three versions of their song New Harbour’s. ‘Mysterious’ as the two members were supposed to be the brothers Matt and Gernot Bridges, but those weren’t their real names and they were definitely not brothers (read Movement’s full story at our website!). For a well-deserved reason, New Harbour’s became a club hit most notably in Spain, where the record is very sought after and expensive, even today after almost 38 years. They did quite a bunch of other songs though, some of them only as demos, and they also recorded what should have been an album to follow after the 12”, but unfortunately, the project was shelved unreleased, unheard and for a long time, forgotten.
We at DWR were aware of that and after another long time in the thinking and the making, we finally bring you a Movement LP entitled ‘ + ’, full with rare and unheard versions of New Harbour’s and unreleased songs. All recorded between 1987 and 1991, making this an incredible discovery for the vintage wave / synthpop lover! Mastered with the outmost care from the primary sources and wrapped in the special die cut artwork that this great release demands!
We are pleased to bring you ‘ + ‘ as a limited, hand numbered vinyl edition split in two colours; 100 copies in translucent red and 200 in standard black, housed in a special see-through, die cut matt finish sleeve with a printed inner sleeve and download code.
