Originally released on February 12, 2010 as a Bandcamp digital download only, ‘Dive In Deep’ was performed, recorded and mixed by Joy Must Remain’s alter ego Valentin in its entirety: “This record was a long process in the making. I first had to teach myself how to play every instrument to what I was hearing in my head and then actually record it. On a no budget and without any assistance it finally came to be. Hope you enjoy listening to it.”
A great album with obvious early post-punk influences but with a fresh spirit of its own. Powerful basslines, poignant guitars, heartfelt lyrics, somber but driving. A perfect mixture.
